Narrative:
Runway 2 was being used at bjc airport. An aircraft data tag appeared 1/2 mi northeast of standley lake which would be about a 1 mi right base for runway 2. There were numerous airplanes in the pattern. This was a false data tag! If there would have been an aircraft there it would have been very hazardous to other aircraft making the approach to runway 2. Pattern altitude is 65 MSL.
