Narrative:

We were level at 8000 ft when our TCASII gave us an RA to climb. Our TCASII showed traffic closing flying about 100 ft below our aircraft. We began a climb and passing through 8700 ft our TCASII issued a clear of conflict. We promptly returned to 8000 ft. We notified ATC of the TCASII event.

Narrative: WE WERE LEVEL AT 8000 FT WHEN OUR TCASII GAVE US AN RA TO CLB. OUR TCASII SHOWED TFC CLOSING FLYING ABOUT 100 FT BELOW OUR ACFT. WE BEGAN A CLB AND PASSING THROUGH 8700 FT OUR TCASII ISSUED A CLR OF CONFLICT. WE PROMPTLY RETURNED TO 8000 FT. WE NOTIFIED ATC OF THE TCASII EVENT.
