Narrative:
The captain crossed an active runway. I told him we needed clearance but before we could get it he had started to cross. Tower called and said we crossed active runway. Captain said we were ok because the taxiway we were on crossed beyond the end of the runway lights. If the captain had stopped to get question answered, this would not have happened. He was in a hurry.
