Narrative:
Upon arrival at dfw gate, marshaller and 2 wing walkers were present. Area appeared clear, however, there was a lot of ground equipment around the gate awaiting our arrival. Turned in on lead-in line upon 'straight ahead' signal from guide man. Felt a jolt and got a momentary, one time 'stop' signal from guide man immediately followed by 'straight ahead' signal. Continued to complete stop at gate. Informed that left wing tip contacted the rear of a catering truck.
