Narrative:
Small aircraft X working touch and go's at 2 runway airport with control tower. While turning base to final, small aircraft Y turned final inside and directly in front of our aircraft. I inquired as to where this aircraft came from and why he pulled in front of us. With no good response from the tower (in fact, 'the traffic pattern' was the tower's response). We called go around, and the tower responded with clearing small aircraft Y in front of us to land. We departed the area.
