Narrative:
Just inside final fix, landing VMC at sna. Gear down, flaps 20 degrees/60 KIAS. Selected flaps 25 degrees for landing. Lost all hydraulic fluid in left hydraulic system. Advised sna tower we must go around and leave gear and flaps down. Diverted to lax. Sna runway too short. Coast approach control and lax approach control provided vectors at 3000 ft for landing runway 27L lax. Landed and cleared runways without incident. Was towed to gate. Problems: sna runway too short to land with partial flaps and reduced reverse thrust and no automatic brakes. Traffic very heavy in that area. Approach control provided excellent vectors and clearance.

Title: LGT HAS HYD FLUID LOSS ON FINAL WHEN FLAPS INCREASED. MAKES GAR, DIVERTS.
Narrative: JUST INSIDE FINAL FIX, LNDG VMC AT SNA. GEAR DOWN, FLAPS 20 DEGS/60 KIAS. SELECTED FLAPS 25 DEGS FOR LNDG. LOST ALL HYD FLUID IN L HYD SYS. ADVISED SNA TWR WE MUST GAR AND LEAVE GEAR AND FLAPS DOWN. DIVERTED TO LAX. SNA RWY TOO SHORT. COAST APCH CTL AND LAX APCH CTL PROVIDED VECTORS AT 3000 FT FOR LNDG RWY 27L LAX. LANDED AND CLRED RWYS WITHOUT INCIDENT. WAS TOWED TO GATE. PROBS: SNA RWY TOO SHORT TO LAND WITH PARTIAL FLAPS AND REDUCED REVERSE THRUST AND NO AUTO BRAKES. TFC VERY HVY IN THAT AREA. APCH CTL PROVIDED EXCELLENT VECTORS AND CLRNC.
