Narrative:
Departed mto intending to fly VFR to ikk for an air show, flying small aircraft. Arriving over ikk I could not receive response to repeated requests for airport advisory. Above pattern altitude, I noted only runway 22 open or available. Wind had favored 240 degrees at cmi. I noted no airborne traffic over the field or in the pattern, and executed a standard downwind entry to runway 22. My passenger (wife) had become severely airsick. I did lose track of time when in the pattern. I landed without incident. I left the active runway for the taxiway when ground personnel instructed me to tune 122.9 for taxi instructions. I parked and shut down. FAA representative, a mr X, proceeded with ramp check of my credentials, aircraft documents including logbooks, citing the fact that I had landed after the field was officially closed at 1200 hours for the air show.
