Narrative:

On a night IFR flight in VMC, I was cleared for the visual approach to runway 4L at bos by bos approach at 120.6 MHZ. The second navigation/communication radio was tuned to bos tower at 119.1 MHZ (as published in IAP). Bos approach handed me off to bos tower on 128.8 MHZ (not published in IAP) on final approach. I tuned 128.8 MHZ but I got no response from the tower. I switched back to bos approach and advised 'unable to contact the tower,' tried again on 128.8 MHZ but no response. Bos approach advised me that 'the tower has cleared' me 'to land on runway 4L.' the landing was with an airspeed too high for a short roll, but further uneventful. During the landing, bos approach told me 'to turn left, any left, because of traffic on short final.' because of the long landing roll, I turned left on runway 15R instead of taxiway C, F, or Q. I turned to the edge of runway 15R because I was not exactly certain of my position on the runway/taxiway pavement, and because I could see an airliner into position at runway 15R. Bos approach told me to hold position and I contacted ground on 121.9. Bos ground asked whether we were off the runway. After I told ground that the airplane was at the runway edge and on the pavement, I got a progressive taxi clearance via runway 15R, first taxiway left (taxiway north) and then via the inner taxiway to the FBO. Bos ground told me to give ATC a call after parking. Over the phone I was merely advised to check the communication radios before departure.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL ACFT INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO AN ACTIVE RWY AFTER LNDG DUE TO A RADIO COM PROB.

Narrative: ON A NIGHT IFR FLT IN VMC, I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 4L AT BOS BY BOS APCH AT 120.6 MHZ. THE SECOND NAV/COM RADIO WAS TUNED TO BOS TWR AT 119.1 MHZ (AS PUBLISHED IN IAP). BOS APCH HANDED ME OFF TO BOS TWR ON 128.8 MHZ (NOT PUBLISHED IN IAP) ON FINAL APCH. I TUNED 128.8 MHZ BUT I GOT NO RESPONSE FROM THE TWR. I SWITCHED BACK TO BOS APCH AND ADVISED 'UNABLE TO CONTACT THE TWR,' TRIED AGAIN ON 128.8 MHZ BUT NO RESPONSE. BOS APCH ADVISED ME THAT 'THE TWR HAS CLRED' ME 'TO LAND ON RWY 4L.' THE LNDG WAS WITH AN AIRSPD TOO HIGH FOR A SHORT ROLL, BUT FURTHER UNEVENTFUL. DURING THE LNDG, BOS APCH TOLD ME 'TO TURN L, ANY L, BECAUSE OF TFC ON SHORT FINAL.' BECAUSE OF THE LONG LNDG ROLL, I TURNED L ON RWY 15R INSTEAD OF TXWY C, F, OR Q. I TURNED TO THE EDGE OF RWY 15R BECAUSE I WAS NOT EXACTLY CERTAIN OF MY POS ON THE RWY/TXWY PAVEMENT, AND BECAUSE I COULD SEE AN AIRLINER INTO POS AT RWY 15R. BOS APCH TOLD ME TO HOLD POS AND I CONTACTED GND ON 121.9. BOS GND ASKED WHETHER WE WERE OFF THE RWY. AFTER I TOLD GND THAT THE AIRPLANE WAS AT THE RWY EDGE AND ON THE PAVEMENT, I GOT A PROGRESSIVE TAXI CLRNC VIA RWY 15R, FIRST TXWY LEFT (TXWY N) AND THEN VIA THE INNER TXWY TO THE FBO. BOS GND TOLD ME TO GIVE ATC A CALL AFTER PARKING. OVER THE PHONE I WAS MERELY ADVISED TO CHK THE COM RADIOS BEFORE DEP.
