Narrative:
After landing on runway 5 at crw, I exited at A2 and took a left onto B taxiway. As I was taxiing sebound on bravo, I encountered approximately 7 red taxiway lights located near B3. This is the point where B taxiway curves left, then right to continue southeast. I mistakenly made a left turn onto B3 taxiway and began to back-taxi on runway 33 thinking I was on B taxiway. There was no observed traffic conflict. The reason I confused the runway with B taxiway was in part by the previously mentioned 7 red lights, and also from the B3 intersection. I saw new signage indicating C2 and C txwys across from me making me believe I was in the proper location. In retrospect, I should have approached this unfamiliar airport with more vigilance. I also believe the purpose and location of the 7 or so red lights at B/B3 intersection should be reviewed. I expected to see blue taxiway lights in that area to denote where the taxiway turns.

Title: AFTER LNDG, PLT OF AN ATX SMA TWIN INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO A RWY AT NIGHT WHILE GOING TO PARKING.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 5 AT CRW, I EXITED AT A2 AND TOOK A L ONTO B TXWY. AS I WAS TAXIING SEBOUND ON BRAVO, I ENCOUNTERED APPROX 7 RED TXWY LIGHTS LOCATED NEAR B3. THIS IS THE POINT WHERE B TXWY CURVES L, THEN R TO CONTINUE SE. I MISTAKENLY MADE A L TURN ONTO B3 TXWY AND BEGAN TO BACK-TAXI ON RWY 33 THINKING I WAS ON B TXWY. THERE WAS NO OBSERVED TFC CONFLICT. THE REASON I CONFUSED THE RWY WITH B TXWY WAS IN PART BY THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED 7 RED LIGHTS, AND ALSO FROM THE B3 INTXN. I SAW NEW SIGNAGE INDICATING C2 AND C TXWYS ACROSS FROM ME MAKING ME BELIEVE I WAS IN THE PROPER LOCATION. IN RETROSPECT, I SHOULD HAVE APCHED THIS UNFAMILIAR ARPT WITH MORE VIGILANCE. I ALSO BELIEVE THE PURPOSE AND LOCATION OF THE 7 OR SO RED LIGHTS AT B/B3 INTXN SHOULD BE REVIEWED. I EXPECTED TO SEE BLUE TXWY LIGHTS IN THAT AREA TO DENOTE WHERE THE TXWY TURNS.
