Narrative:

I was working the north satellite position at ord TRACON. Cpr Y was nwbound at 4000 ft going to mke. There was an air carrier X nwbound also about 10 mi ahead of cpr Y at 6000 ft. I saw air carrier X at 6100 ft so I thought he was climbing. I then climbed cpr Y to 6000 ft from 4000 ft. Cpr Y asked me what the air carrier X was doing. I said he was still at 6100 ft so I descended cpr Y to 5000 ft and turned him so the courses diverged. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter stated she had coordination with the sector working cpr Y and informed the controller she would miss cpr Y. Separation was 400 ft and 1 1/2 mi.
