Narrative:
Was level at 11000 ft. Dfw departure gave 040 degree heading to intercept the dfw 067 degree radial then transferred to ZFW 132.02 and received climb instructions to 14000 ft. Just passing 11500 ft received a TCASII RA to descend at 2000 FPM to avoid conflict. We descended as instructed and went back down to 11000 ft. Once past traffic conflict, continued climb to 14000 ft. We reported our descent to ATC to avoid traffic at 12500 ft but did not say we had an RA.
