Narrative:
Approaching lga, we were assigned the expressway visual approach. The captain was not familiar with the approach or landmarks, as I found out later. The captain was flying and got off course quite a lot and would not accept my help in keeping on course. We probably exceeded off course limits and noise limits. My suggestion: don't let pilots accept visual approachs when they are not familiar with required landmarks.
