Narrative:

Aircraft previously had been written up for #2 engine wing body overheat problem. I operated the aircraft for 2 segments with the #2 engine bleed valve manually closed after engine start (by maintenance) in order to isolate the respective bleed ducts. This was done per MEL procedures pertaining to an 'inoperative' bleed valve. In retrospect, I am not 100 percent certain that this was proper as the original problem was not corrected.
