Narrative:

On departure from fll, both aircraft engines appeared to momentarily overtemp. Applicable company abnormals were complied with and engines stabilized. Company was notified via ACARS so maintenance could be avail at destination of lga. About sav, company sent ACARS message to divert to clt. After trying to confirm with company's request, we notified ZJX of the desire to proceed to clt. Further contact was established with company on phone patch via arinc. Maintenance asked questions and it was thought first report to company could have been in error. Captain asked maintenance to relay that we were continuing onto scheduled destination. Rerte was again given by center with climb to FL370. Approximately 50 mi south fak VOR, 170 northeast clt, ACARS message and ATC message to call company were received at same time. Captain spoke to company and was advised that their automated readings were in fact agreeing to our first questions and indications. It was decided as a precautionary measure to divert to clt, nc, where landing was made uneventfully. All FAA instruction and company policies and procedures were adhered to in the prescribed manner as to insure the safety of the flight.

AFTER TRYING TO CONFIRM WITH COMPANY'S REQUEST, WE NOTIFIED ZJX OF THE DESIRE TO PROCEED TO CLT. FURTHER CONTACT WAS ESTABLISHED WITH COMPANY ON PHONE PATCH VIA ARINC. MAINT ASKED QUESTIONS AND IT WAS THOUGHT FIRST RPT TO COMPANY COULD HAVE BEEN IN ERROR. CAPT ASKED MAINT TO RELAY THAT WE WERE CONTINUING ONTO SCHEDULED DEST. RERTE WAS AGAIN GIVEN BY CTR WITH CLB TO FL370. APPROX 50 MI S FAK VOR, 170 NE CLT, ACARS MESSAGE AND ATC MESSAGE TO CALL COMPANY WERE RECEIVED AT SAME TIME. CAPT SPOKE TO COMPANY AND WAS ADVISED THAT THEIR AUTOMATED READINGS WERE IN FACT AGREEING TO OUR FIRST QUESTIONS AND INDICATIONS. IT WAS DECIDED AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE TO DIVERT TO CLT, NC, WHERE LNDG WAS MADE UNEVENTFULLY.
