Narrative:

Flight dtw-atl at FL330 (cruise altitude). Right engine oil strainer clogging light came on. Company procedure is to reduce power till light goes out. A total of 3 reductions were made until decision was made to shut down the right engine. At this point in time, flight was about 80 mi north of atl airport. All company procedures and checklists were used. An emergency was not declared but a request for emergency vehicles to stand by was made. ATC personnel were very helpful and professional. They (ATC) did everything possible to expedite our arrival in an orderly fashion.

THEY (ATC) DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO EXPEDITE OUR ARR IN AN ORDERLY FASHION.
