Narrative:

In sum: an small aircraft ferry pilot attempted a flight from hnl to oak. Ferry tanks were installed giving about 17 hours flying time. Oil was topped up on both engines. The flight was planned for 14 hours flight time on the 'bravo' route. About 6.5 hours after takeoff, the right engine started losing oil pressure and the cylinder head temperature rose. The engine was secured. The coast guard and arinc were notified. The left engine started losing oil and power later and the reporter turned around to intercept a ship 9 hours after takeoff. This was about the same time that the coast guard intercepted the aircraft. About 10 hours after takeoff, the reporter ditched along side a commercial vessel. The aircraft was lost at sea. The reporter was slightly injured and was rescued successfully.
