Narrative:
I planned on landing on runway 27. I announced my intentions on unicom and began a descent out of 2500 ft approximately 1 1/2 mi out. At approximately 2300 ft I noticed an aircraft pass directly below me (approximately 500 ft) traveling northbound. No evasive action was taken. Aircraft appeared to be an small aircraft. I completed my landing and stopped at the ramp. While on the ground a pilot informed me my radio did not work. I tested the radio and found that the transmitter was working but sending only carrier. (Radio had worked at ptk and phn.) proximity was tracked to shorted headset plugged in at rear seat location. Headset was removed, problem fixed. I was also informed that runway 9 was in use. I departed runway 9 to ptk and landed runway 27 ptk. The radio failure led me to believe no traffic was present at 7d2 and I landed on runway 27 rather than runway 9 that other traffic was using. While on the ground the wind was blowing approximately 3-5 KTS favoring runway 27. The aircraft in the pattern I pass over head was apparently traveling from upwind to downwind in the pattern for runway 9.

Title: NMAC.
Narrative: I PLANNED ON LNDG ON RWY 27. I ANNOUNCED MY INTENTIONS ON UNICOM AND BEGAN A DSCNT OUT OF 2500 FT APPROX 1 1/2 MI OUT. AT APPROX 2300 FT I NOTICED AN ACFT PASS DIRECTLY BELOW ME (APPROX 500 FT) TRAVELING NBOUND. NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN. ACFT APPEARED TO BE AN SMA. I COMPLETED MY LNDG AND STOPPED AT THE RAMP. WHILE ON THE GND A PLT INFORMED ME MY RADIO DID NOT WORK. I TESTED THE RADIO AND FOUND THAT THE XMITTER WAS WORKING BUT SENDING ONLY CARRIER. (RADIO HAD WORKED AT PTK AND PHN.) PROX WAS TRACKED TO SHORTED HEADSET PLUGGED IN AT REAR SEAT LOCATION. HEADSET WAS REMOVED, PROB FIXED. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT RWY 9 WAS IN USE. I DEPARTED RWY 9 TO PTK AND LANDED RWY 27 PTK. THE RADIO FAILURE LED ME TO BELIEVE NO TFC WAS PRESENT AT 7D2 AND I LANDED ON RWY 27 RATHER THAN RWY 9 THAT OTHER TFC WAS USING. WHILE ON THE GND THE WIND WAS BLOWING APPROX 3-5 KTS FAVORING RWY 27. THE ACFT IN THE PATTERN I PASS OVER HEAD WAS APPARENTLY TRAVELING FROM UPWIND TO DOWNWIND IN THE PATTERN FOR RWY 9.
