Narrative:

Flight was to escort a bmb aircraft to pick up passenger at next stop. Ramp was congested with spectators. After waiting for the bmb to crank his 4TH engine, I called clear, looked to see that spectators were not in a dangerous position, and started my engine. After idling for a couple of mins, an individual climbed on my wing, opened my door and stated that I should shut down or taxi further away from the bystanders. I elected to taxi. I did not feel that a dangerous situation existed since people were standing beyond my wing tips or well in front of the aircraft.
