Narrative:
Just prior to closing the door for departure, the first flight attendant informed me that one of our crew member flight attendants had just traded off of the last leg of our trip with another flight attendant that was commuting to iah. She went on to say that when the new flight attendant boarded it was discovered that this person did not work for company a. When I confronted this replacement flight attendant she confirmed that she was a retired company B flight attendant, and had never worked for company a. She said that our flight attendant employee approached her in the lobby, and asked her to work the flight to iah, and had given her the uniform to wear during the flight. The flight was delayed and deplaned. A replacement flight attendant was called out.
