Narrative:

Scheduled flight clt-NAS-tpa. Thunderstorms over east coast of florida required deviation east of course which exceeded 50 NM offshore. Aircraft was not equipped with emergency floatation devices. Captain wanted to avoid overhangs for turbulence purposes, however, nothing painted on radar. I advised captain we would exceed 50 NM offshore, he stated we could use our emergency authority/authorized to deviation, but did not declare such to ATC while deviating. I estimate we were up to 90 NM offshore on both legs while deviating.
