Narrative:
Landed at XA00 local time. Normal shutdown procedure and verified emergency locator transmitter was off by visual check of remote control panel indicator (rcpi). About XX00, oct/xx/93, I was showing another pilot the interior of the plane. I moved my headset into the stowage area where the rcpi was mounted. The microphone on the headset hit the 'test' button on the rcpi and activated the emergency locator transmitter. The emergency locator transmitter stayed on until XG00, oct/xx/93, when I was notified of the activation. The signal was picked up and notification came from louisville, ky. The emergency locator transmitter is a commercial model type, serial number XXXX, tso XXXX. The batteries have been replaced.
