Narrative:
After pushback at phl airport, we were completing the after start check. There was some confusion on the brakes set signal and when the tow bar was released the aircraft moved forward on it. The brakes were immediately applied and fortunately there were no injuries. This puts emphasis on the need for good communications.

Title: CAPT OF AN MLG ACR ACFT ACCIDENTALLY TAXIED ONTO THE TOW BAR AFTER IT WAS DETACHED AFTER PUSHBACK.
Narrative: AFTER PUSHBACK AT PHL ARPT, WE WERE COMPLETING THE AFTER START CHK. THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION ON THE BRAKES SET SIGNAL AND WHEN THE TOW BAR WAS RELEASED THE ACFT MOVED FORWARD ON IT. THE BRAKES WERE IMMEDIATELY APPLIED AND FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THIS PUTS EMPHASIS ON THE NEED FOR GOOD COMS.
