Narrative:
A southwest arrival into cyyz cleared profile descent runway 24L/right, however, an altitude change was issued before ywt crossing to maintain 15000 ft. In descent, before reaching 15000 ft and ywt, we were reissued profile descent runway 24L/right. During preflight profiles were discussed, after ATIS received, again discussed. During descent before ywt, I asked first officer captain flying, if there were additional local NOTAMS on the second ATIS frequency, he said he would check. I told him I had the radios. During that time I, the PF, was issued a frequency change to cyyz arrival. I checked the next crossing yyz 26 DME at 7000 ft at 210 KTS and started descent. At 10500 ft I was told by ATC to climb back to 11000 ft and check correct profile descent, which was done and I found that I was looking at runway 6L/right profile. I made the correction, informed the first officer and asked ATC if there would be a problem. ATC reply was no. During frequency change while first officer was retrieving second ATIS, I had in error, hit the binder holding approach plates and page flipped to incorrect profile.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN MLG OVERSHOT XING ALT DURING A PROFILE DSCNT DUE TO ACCIDENTALLY REFERRING TO THE WRONG CHART.
Narrative: A SW ARR INTO CYYZ CLRED PROFILE DSCNT RWY 24L/R, HOWEVER, AN ALT CHANGE WAS ISSUED BEFORE YWT XING TO MAINTAIN 15000 FT. IN DSCNT, BEFORE REACHING 15000 FT AND YWT, WE WERE REISSUED PROFILE DSCNT RWY 24L/R. DURING PREFLT PROFILES WERE DISCUSSED, AFTER ATIS RECEIVED, AGAIN DISCUSSED. DURING DSCNT BEFORE YWT, I ASKED FO CAPT FLYING, IF THERE WERE ADDITIONAL LCL NOTAMS ON THE SECOND ATIS FREQ, HE SAID HE WOULD CHK. I TOLD HIM I HAD THE RADIOS. DURING THAT TIME I, THE PF, WAS ISSUED A FREQ CHANGE TO CYYZ ARR. I CHKED THE NEXT XING YYZ 26 DME AT 7000 FT AT 210 KTS AND STARTED DSCNT. AT 10500 FT I WAS TOLD BY ATC TO CLB BACK TO 11000 FT AND CHK CORRECT PROFILE DSCNT, WHICH WAS DONE AND I FOUND THAT I WAS LOOKING AT RWY 6L/R PROFILE. I MADE THE CORRECTION, INFORMED THE FO AND ASKED ATC IF THERE WOULD BE A PROB. ATC REPLY WAS NO. DURING FREQ CHANGE WHILE FO WAS RETRIEVING SECOND ATIS, I HAD IN ERROR, HIT THE BINDER HOLDING APCH PLATES AND PAGE FLIPPED TO INCORRECT PROFILE.
