Narrative:
Landed on runway 22R, cleared to taxi on 13 to turn left on taxiway east and contact ground control on taxiway east. Due to confusion caused by sign physical location (taxiway east), I turned left onto runway 4R vice taxiway east. I switched to ground control and called 3 times before I got an answer sarcastically stating I was on a runway vice taxiway 3. The cause was the positioning of the taxiway east sign and the lack of direction from the tower which should have stated 'turn left at the second intersection off of runway 13.' note: the attitude, poor response of the tower operator began 9 mi northwest of the airport when approach advised me to contact the tower. I had to call 3 times before they answered. (There was no other inbound or outbound traffic.) both the tower and ground controller exhibited a 'smart ass' attitude from what appeared to be young individuals.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL ACFT INADVERTENTLY TURNED ONTO A RWY DURING TAXI TO PARKING AFTER LNDG.
Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 22R, CLRED TO TAXI ON 13 TO TURN L ON TXWY E AND CONTACT GND CTL ON TXWY E. DUE TO CONFUSION CAUSED BY SIGN PHYSICAL LOCATION (TXWY E), I TURNED L ONTO RWY 4R VICE TXWY E. I SWITCHED TO GND CTL AND CALLED 3 TIMES BEFORE I GOT AN ANSWER SARCASTICALLY STATING I WAS ON A RWY VICE TXWY 3. THE CAUSE WAS THE POSITIONING OF THE TXWY E SIGN AND THE LACK OF DIRECTION FROM THE TWR WHICH SHOULD HAVE STATED 'TURN L AT THE SECOND INTXN OFF OF RWY 13.' NOTE: THE ATTITUDE, POOR RESPONSE OF THE TWR OPERATOR BEGAN 9 MI NW OF THE ARPT WHEN APCH ADVISED ME TO CONTACT THE TWR. I HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES BEFORE THEY ANSWERED. (THERE WAS NO OTHER INBOUND OR OUTBOUND TFC.) BOTH THE TWR AND GND CTLR EXHIBITED A 'SMART ASS' ATTITUDE FROM WHAT APPEARED TO BE YOUNG INDIVIDUALS.
