Narrative:
Aborted on approach clearance due to severe thunderstorms and 13 KT tailwinds. Thunderstorm overhead airport, air traffic area, vicinity. Was to hold at mia VORTAC and issued vector and climb to 6000 ft. TCASII alert and RA at 5600 ft, began immediate descent on a 350 degree heading until clear of conflict. Our attention was totally absorbed by deteriorating WX, and as a result approach control (120.5) was also busy.
