Narrative:

While holding between runway 24L and runway 24R at lax, tower control asked us to make a 180 degree turn on taxiway and hold short of runway 24L. Positioned aircraft ahead and to the right side of taxiway for a left 180 degree turn. About 30-40 degrees into the turn, it was obvious we could not continue the turn safely. Advised tower unable 180 degree turn. At that time tower asked aircraft on short final to runway 24R to go around. About this same time, both captain and I realized we could not see the hold short lights for runway 24R. Result: nose of aircraft may have been slightly over the hold short line for runway 24R.

Title: CAPT OF AN MLG ACFT INADVERTENTLY WENT OVER THE 'HOLD SHORT' LINE DURING TAXI FOR TKOF DUE TO THE LACK OF TXWY WIDTH TO TURN ACFT AROUND IN COMPLYING WITH THE TWR CTLR INSTRUCTIONS RESULTING IN SENDING ANOTHER ACFT AROUND.

Narrative: WHILE HOLDING BTWN RWY 24L AND RWY 24R AT LAX, TWR CTL ASKED US TO MAKE A 180 DEG TURN ON TXWY AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24L. POSITIONED ACFT AHEAD AND TO THE R SIDE OF TXWY FOR A L 180 DEG TURN. ABOUT 30-40 DEGS INTO THE TURN, IT WAS OBVIOUS WE COULD NOT CONTINUE THE TURN SAFELY. ADVISED TWR UNABLE 180 DEG TURN. AT THAT TIME TWR ASKED ACFT ON SHORT FINAL TO RWY 24R TO GAR. ABOUT THIS SAME TIME, BOTH CAPT AND I REALIZED WE COULD NOT SEE THE HOLD SHORT LIGHTS FOR RWY 24R. RESULT: NOSE OF ACFT MAY HAVE BEEN SLIGHTLY OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 24R.
