Narrative:
While on approach coming up on zingg intersection on dfw 17L ILS, TCASII, without prior warning, 'climb, climb.' indicator put green arc at 2000 FPM, red below '0' roc leveled off at 5000 ft. Told tower TCASII gave no signal at end 'clear of conflict.' suspect bad TCASII as approach said no traffic on radar. Later after calling approach on phone, he said an air carrier large transport 2 planes behind us also got an RA to climb and did so. Still approach could not see any traffic except a plane on base going into love field, which aimed it at us about 5 mi away.
