While deviating around thunderstorms, encountered moderate turbulence with 1 severe bump. 2 flight attendants who were serving in the aft section stated that, during the turbulence, they were thrown about and at one time hit the overhead.

Narrative: WHILE DEVIATING AROUND TSTMS, ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURB WITH 1 SEVERE BUMP. 2 FLT ATTENDANTS WHO WERE SERVING IN THE AFT SECTION STATED THAT, DURING THE TURB, THEY WERE THROWN ABOUT AND AT ONE TIME HIT THE OVERHEAD.
