Narrative:

Our aircraft was positioned south of and parallel to runway 8/26 and was facing west. Active departure runway for us was runway 33. Ground control instructed us to cross runway 33 and taxi on taxiway G to runway 33. We realized taxiway G was not on the airport diagram. The airport diagram shows the west side of runway 33 south of runway 8/26 to be an open concrete area. We could see a taxiway G sign on the other side of runway 33, making it look like taxiway G ran north/south parallel to runway 33, and after crossing runway 33, we should turn south on taxiway G to runway 33. We taxied across runway 33 and intercepted taxiway G. The taxiing was somewhat confusing because of the inability to decipher the taxiway since it was not on the 10-9 airport diagram. This was made more difficult since it was nighttime. I suggest that the commercial 10-9 airport diagram for burbank be updated to show taxiway G and the intxns along the taxiway. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: the reporting first officer states that there is a sign depicting taxiway G. The whole issue is that there is no taxiway G shown on the commercial airport page. In the dark of night it is difficult to find the sign the reporter rarely gets to bur and was not familiar with the airport. The reporter is not sure if there is a taxiway line on the tarmac depicting taxiway G. Reporter called back several days later and stated that the dec/93 chart had taxiway G depicted.

Title: AN ACR MLG FO RPTS THAT TXWY G IS NOT LISTED ON THE COMMERCIALLY PREPARED ARPT PAGE FOR BUR.

Narrative: OUR ACFT WAS POSITIONED S OF AND PARALLEL TO RWY 8/26 AND WAS FACING W. ACTIVE DEP RWY FOR US WAS RWY 33. GND CTL INSTRUCTED US TO CROSS RWY 33 AND TAXI ON TXWY G TO RWY 33. WE REALIZED TXWY G WAS NOT ON THE ARPT DIAGRAM. THE ARPT DIAGRAM SHOWS THE W SIDE OF RWY 33 S OF RWY 8/26 TO BE AN OPEN CONCRETE AREA. WE COULD SEE A TXWY G SIGN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF RWY 33, MAKING IT LOOK LIKE TXWY G RAN N/S PARALLEL TO RWY 33, AND AFTER XING RWY 33, WE SHOULD TURN S ON TXWY G TO RWY 33. WE TAXIED ACROSS RWY 33 AND INTERCEPTED TXWY G. THE TAXIING WAS SOMEWHAT CONFUSING BECAUSE OF THE INABILITY TO DECIPHER THE TXWY SINCE IT WAS NOT ON THE 10-9 ARPT DIAGRAM. THIS WAS MADE MORE DIFFICULT SINCE IT WAS NIGHTTIME. I SUGGEST THAT THE COMMERCIAL 10-9 ARPT DIAGRAM FOR BURBANK BE UPDATED TO SHOW TXWY G AND THE INTXNS ALONG THE TXWY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH REPORTER REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: THE RPTING FO STATES THAT THERE IS A SIGN DEPICTING TXWY G. THE WHOLE ISSUE IS THAT THERE IS NO TXWY G SHOWN ON THE COMMERCIAL ARPT PAGE. IN THE DARK OF NIGHT IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THE SIGN THE RPTR RARELY GETS TO BUR AND WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE ARPT. THE RPTR IS NOT SURE IF THERE IS A TXWY LINE ON THE TARMAC DEPICTING TXWY G. RPTR CALLED BACK SEVERAL DAYS LATER AND STATED THAT THE DEC/93 CHART HAD TXWY G DEPICTED.
