Narrative:
While flying VFR to helipad landing site, we made an approach and landing. After we were on the ground, we noticed that contact was made with helipad landing light. The helicopter came in too tail low. I misjudged the sink rate and contact was made with the helipad light and the tail rotor. Slight tail rotor damage. In the future, I will terminate the approach to a higher hover prior to landing.
