Narrative:
On takeoff from dfw runway 36R, a red gear nose light remained on when landing gear handle was raised. All procedures followed with no success. A left downwind to runway 36L was requested and granted. An overweight landing was made. Landing smooth and normal. Both maximum runway limited weight and maximum climb limited weight were not exceeded. Maintenance and dispatch notified. Aircraft was taken OTS.

Title: AN ACR MLG LANDED OVERWT AFTER HIS NOSE LNDG GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT.
Narrative: ON TKOF FROM DFW RWY 36R, A RED GEAR NOSE LIGHT REMAINED ON WHEN LNDG GEAR HANDLE WAS RAISED. ALL PROCS FOLLOWED WITH NO SUCCESS. A L DOWNWIND TO RWY 36L WAS REQUESTED AND GRANTED. AN OVERWT LNDG WAS MADE. LNDG SMOOTH AND NORMAL. BOTH MAX RWY LIMITED WT AND MAX CLB LIMITED WT WERE NOT EXCEEDED. MAINT AND DISPATCH NOTIFIED. ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS.
