Narrative:
VASI's for runways 1 and 19 are improperly set. During approach to landing and on the GS, the aircraft's descent rate is 2000 FPM at 140 KTS. A normal descent rate for us at 140 KTS on a 3 degree VASI slope is 700 FPM. Our company has just changed our schedule to start flying into this airport at night and with high unlit terrain in close proximity to the field, a properly set VASI is a must.

Narrative: VASI'S FOR RWYS 1 AND 19 ARE IMPROPERLY SET. DURING APCH TO LNDG AND ON THE GS, THE ACFT'S DSCNT RATE IS 2000 FPM AT 140 KTS.
