Narrative:
Pit-lax, jan/tue/94 B757-200 lax crew. We pushed back from gate 27 mins late due hold for connecting passenger. Crew had started day in pittsburgh at xaam PDT. We had already flown round trip to dca with aircraft having to be deiced at pittsburgh. No snow or ice had accumulated on wings from dca-pit or while on ground at pittsburgh, though WX had snow flurries all morning. Ramp had full snow cover with patches of ice so we decided to keep flaps up until past deice pad in case we needed deicing. I cannot recollect if we accomplished before takeoff checklist as taxi out lasted 30 mins. We were cleared for takeoff. I completed the below the line items, and the captain advanced the throttles. We received a confign warning light, advised the tower we needed to exit runway and proceeded down runway to exit. Set flaps, we taxied back and completed a normal takeoff. Contributing factor was a crew who felt very comfortable with each other, having flown the monthly sequence together and worked extremely well together. Our checklist and procedures worked extremely well together and there may have been some complacency. Also, airline likes to give west coast crews the bulk of 'red eye' flying and early get-up may have contributed to event.
