Narrative:
Iah, taxiing east on taxiway wh and attempting to turn south on taxiway wb, aircraft slipped on rain soaked taxiway and slipped off hard surface. Conditions were heavy rain and water running on txwys. Speed was a slow taxi speed due to wet conditions. Excessive water running on taxiway apparently caused tires to hydroplane and lose traction. Light load on aircraft (B727-200) caused loss of traction on nose gear.

Narrative: IAH, TAXIING E ON TXWY WH AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN S ON TXWY WB, ACFT SLIPPED ON RAIN SOAKED TXWY AND SLIPPED OFF HARD SURFACE. CONDITIONS WERE HVY RAIN AND WATER RUNNING ON TXWYS. SPD WAS A SLOW TAXI SPD DUE TO WET CONDITIONS. EXCESSIVE WATER RUNNING ON TXWY APPARENTLY CAUSED TIRES TO HYDROPLANE AND LOSE TRACTION.
