Narrative:
I was a passenger in a cessna 414, when PIC taxied onto active runway 1 without a clearance. He was unfamiliar with the field, we had no intercom and I was reviewing the pre-takeoff checklist. The first 1000 ft of runway 1 was closed due to men and equipment on the runway. We learned of the incursion from ground control after asking for progressives to the active. This was the first time we had flown together. The PIC did not use the cockpit resource management or checklists, so I was trying to make sure he hadn't missed anything for my own personal safety. The PIC was demonstrating his company's airplane after it had engines installed. Normal access to runway 1 was not available, so access was awkward and required a back-taxi to the run-up area. Also, in flight, the PIC exceeded flap extension speed by 10 mph and gear extension speed by 10 mph.

Title: A CESSNA 414 TAXIED ONTO AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS A PAX IN A CESSNA 414, WHEN PIC TAXIED ONTO ACTIVE RWY 1 WITHOUT A CLRNC. HE WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH THE FIELD, WE HAD NO INTERCOM AND I WAS REVIEWING THE PRE-TKOF CHKLIST. THE FIRST 1000 FT OF RWY 1 WAS CLOSED DUE TO MEN AND EQUIP ON THE RWY. WE LEARNED OF THE INCURSION FROM GND CTL AFTER ASKING FOR PROGRESSIVES TO THE ACTIVE. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME WE HAD FLOWN TOGETHER. THE PIC DID NOT USE THE COCKPIT RESOURCE MGMNT OR CHKLISTS, SO I WAS TRYING TO MAKE SURE HE HADN'T MISSED ANYTHING FOR MY OWN PERSONAL SAFETY. THE PIC WAS DEMONSTRATING HIS COMPANY'S AIRPLANE AFTER IT HAD ENGS INSTALLED. NORMAL ACCESS TO RWY 1 WAS NOT AVAILABLE, SO ACCESS WAS AWKWARD AND REQUIRED A BACK-TAXI TO THE RUN-UP AREA. ALSO, IN FLT, THE PIC EXCEEDED FLAP EXTENSION SPD BY 10 MPH AND GEAR EXTENSION SPD BY 10 MPH.
