Narrative:

Normal landing runway 17R. Braking action good. Use lima 4 turnoff at slow speed. Taxiway braking reported poor to nil. Made right turn onto lima 4 but when attempting northbound turn on lima, aircraft (B727-200RE) began uncontrolled slide wbound across taxiway centerline. Use of brakes provided no control or stopping at all. Reverse thrust was used (maximum) to arrest slide only after proceeding through west side edge of taxiway, further reverse application backed aircraft back onto taxiway. When we finally stopped moving we were facing ssw. We then had a learjet lr-23 pass dangerously close to us as we sat parked and it proceeded northbound on lima. Its taxi speed was excessive considering it passed within 12-15 ft on an icy taxiway. We were finally towed to the gate. People told us our nosewheel track came within 3 ft of a snow covered 20-25 ft embankment. Why don't airports sand txwys when braking is reported poor or nil? The airport authority/authorized did not start sanding until after our mishap.

Title: TXWY EXCURSION IN A DAWN OP.

Narrative: NORMAL LNDG RWY 17R. BRAKING ACTION GOOD. USE LIMA 4 TURNOFF AT SLOW SPD. TXWY BRAKING RPTED POOR TO NIL. MADE R TURN ONTO LIMA 4 BUT WHEN ATTEMPTING NBOUND TURN ON LIMA, ACFT (B727-200RE) BEGAN UNCTLED SLIDE WBOUND ACROSS TXWY CTRLINE. USE OF BRAKES PROVIDED NO CTL OR STOPPING AT ALL. REVERSE THRUST WAS USED (MAX) TO ARREST SLIDE ONLY AFTER PROCEEDING THROUGH W SIDE EDGE OF TXWY, FURTHER REVERSE APPLICATION BACKED ACFT BACK ONTO TXWY. WHEN WE FINALLY STOPPED MOVING WE WERE FACING SSW. WE THEN HAD A LEARJET LR-23 PASS DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO US AS WE SAT PARKED AND IT PROCEEDED NBOUND ON LIMA. ITS TAXI SPD WAS EXCESSIVE CONSIDERING IT PASSED WITHIN 12-15 FT ON AN ICY TXWY. WE WERE FINALLY TOWED TO THE GATE. PEOPLE TOLD US OUR NOSEWHEEL TRACK CAME WITHIN 3 FT OF A SNOW COVERED 20-25 FT EMBANKMENT. WHY DON'T ARPTS SAND TXWYS WHEN BRAKING IS RPTED POOR OR NIL? THE ARPT AUTH DID NOT START SANDING UNTIL AFTER OUR MISHAP.
