Narrative:
On taxi into clt on taxiway M, the left engine fire warning came on. We were at the intersection of taxiway M and B, and stopped on B where we performed the emergency shutdown procedures for engine fire. We notified ATC, requested the fire trucks and notified operations. Evacuate/evacuation was ordered out of right side of aircraft in order of emergency procedures. Evacuate/evacuation was completed without injury to passenger. Passenger were escorted off the taxiway where we waited for vans to pick them up. We wrote the airplane up, once maintenance had arrived I told them what happened.
