Narrative:
During deicing operations, due to lack of direct communication with ground crew or deice crew, I tried to coordinate departure with company operations. Due to miscoms I started an engine while deicing operations were, in fact, still ongoing. Luckily this dangerous situation resulted in no injuries. Recommendation. Flight crew have radio contact with ground crew/deice crew or continuous visual contact with signalman if radio contact is not possible.
