Narrative:

TCASII gave an RA maximum climb on traffic reported by ZOB 127.4 at XX25Z apr/fri/94. We were level at FL240 and traffic opposite direction at FL230. Saw on TCASII, -9 then target started to climb, -7, -6, alert went off commanding conflict climb 1700 plus rate. An immediate climb was executed, forcing 2 flight attendants to the floor. Seat belt was already on due to continued light turbulence. Everyone seated, no injuries. A320 aircraft flight dca to dtw. Captain, first officer, saw -2 on TCASII before divergence. Supplemental information from acn 267972: TCASII was functioning properly and alerted us to a danger we would not have seen otherwise.

Narrative: TCASII GAVE AN RA MAX CLB ON TFC RPTED BY ZOB 127.4 AT XX25Z APR/FRI/94. WE WERE LEVEL AT FL240 AND TFC OPPOSITE DIRECTION AT FL230. SAW ON TCASII, -9 THEN TARGET STARTED TO CLB, -7, -6, ALERT WENT OFF COMMANDING CONFLICT CLB 1700 PLUS RATE. AN IMMEDIATE CLB WAS EXECUTED, FORCING 2 FLT ATTENDANTS TO THE FLOOR. SEAT BELT WAS ALREADY ON DUE TO CONTINUED LIGHT TURB. EVERYONE SEATED, NO INJURIES. A320 ACFT FLT DCA TO DTW. CAPT, FO, SAW -2 ON TCASII BEFORE DIVERGENCE.
