Narrative:
Heading 070 degrees for radar vectors to runway 18R ILS at dfw. Our altitude was 3000 ft. We received a TCASII RA to climb. Action was taken to climb to 3500 ft. Aircraft on TCASII appeared to be about 12:30 position, about 200 ft below us. Approach control gave no warning. We asked approach control about it. They said it was a 'merlin' that overflew the ILS.

Narrative: HDG 070 DEGS FOR RADAR VECTORS TO RWY 18R ILS AT DFW. OUR ALT WAS 3000 FT. WE RECEIVED A TCASII RA TO CLB. ACTION WAS TAKEN TO CLB TO 3500 FT. ACFT ON TCASII APPEARED TO BE ABOUT 12:30 POS, ABOUT 200 FT BELOW US. APCH CTL GAVE NO WARNING. WE ASKED APCH CTL ABOUT IT. THEY SAID IT WAS A 'MERLIN' THAT OVERFLEW THE ILS.
