Narrative:
I was landing on runway 16 and touched down with flaps up at about 65 mph, landed on 2 wheels, but lowered to nose of the aircraft too soon. As the nose wheel touched the ground, it blew the tire and I could not bring the nose back up. The airplane stopped on the runway. I had not checked the tire before takeoff, also I lowered the nose too soon, without slowing the airplane sufficiently down. I was also landing a little sideways.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: NOSE GEAR TIRE BLEW ON LNDG.
Narrative: I WAS LNDG ON RWY 16 AND TOUCHED DOWN WITH FLAPS UP AT ABOUT 65 MPH, LANDED ON 2 WHEELS, BUT LOWERED TO NOSE OF THE ACFT TOO SOON. AS THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED THE GND, IT BLEW THE TIRE AND I COULD NOT BRING THE NOSE BACK UP. THE AIRPLANE STOPPED ON THE RWY. I HAD NOT CHKED THE TIRE BEFORE TKOF, ALSO I LOWERED THE NOSE TOO SOON, WITHOUT SLOWING THE AIRPLANE SUFFICIENTLY DOWN. I WAS ALSO LNDG A LITTLE SIDEWAYS.
