Narrative:

During flight back from corporate trip in a piper cheyenne ii, we had canceled IFR and were proceeding VFR to ftw as it allowed most direct routing to runway in use (16L). This routing also took us over the PF house. When within a couple of mi of the house, he said he was going to go down further and fly over his house to let his wife know he was back. I got interested in watching for conflicting traffic at parker co airport and thought he would level off at 1000 ft above the ground. When I looked at the altimeter, we were descending through 1700 ft as we flew over the house and he initiated the pull up. I should have been paying closer attention to his altitude and reminded him to pull up (or level off) earlier.
