Narrative:
Simultaneous approachs in use runway 5L/right. Air carrier X, ATR-42, 9 mi final 5L -- small transport Y, be-90, 9-1/2 mi final 5R. X stated receiving an RA and descending -- tower controller advised who the traffic was. X climbed back to the GS and continued approach. Airlines has instructed pilots to be in the TA mode in this phase of flight. Supplemental information from acn 271269: air carrier X got an RA and began descending. Tower explained that this was close in 'simo's.' the pilot said he descended on localizer at an increased rate.

Narrative: SIMULTANEOUS APCHS IN USE RWY 5L/R. ACR X, ATR-42, 9 MI FINAL 5L -- SMT Y, BE-90, 9-1/2 MI FINAL 5R. X STATED RECEIVING AN RA AND DSNDING -- TWR CTLR ADVISED WHO THE TFC WAS. X CLBED BACK TO THE GS AND CONTINUED APCH. AIRLINES HAS INSTRUCTED PLTS TO BE IN THE TA MODE IN THIS PHASE OF FLT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 271269: ACR X GOT AN RA AND BEGAN DSNDING. TWR EXPLAINED THAT THIS WAS CLOSE IN 'SIMO'S.' THE PLT SAID HE DSNDED ON LOC AT AN INCREASED RATE.
