Narrative:
While already established on the localizer per ATC instruction, an air carrier md-80 was vectored in front of us to join the localizer at the marker. I turned left and decided to pass behind the md-80. The controller said that the md-80 had slowed sooner than anticipated.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT ON FINAL APCH COURSE.
Narrative: WHILE ALREADY ESTABLISHED ON THE LOC PER ATC INSTRUCTION, AN ACR MD-80 WAS VECTORED IN FRONT OF US TO JOIN THE LOC AT THE MARKER. I TURNED L AND DECIDED TO PASS BEHIND THE MD-80. THE CTLR SAID THAT THE MD-80 HAD SLOWED SOONER THAN ANTICIPATED.
