Narrative:
On takeoff for VFR flight N57 to dxr, alternate circuit breaker opened circuit, recycled several times. Elected to continue NORDO to dxr, climbed to 7500 west of phl en route ptw VOR. Probably transgressed phl 30 mi mode C veil without mode C. Later climbed 9500 over clouds abe-ewr. Ceiling 25000 plus or minus dxr area. Went northwest around ny class B mode C veil. Landed dxr using hand-held radio.
