Narrative:

On climb out, I smelled an electrical burning odor followed momentarily by a loss of all radio instrumentation. I shut off master switch, subsequently determined that it was the radio master switch itself, which when returning the master switch to the on position, gave me back aircraft instrumentation and monitoring gauges, but no VHF, navigation, transponder, radar, basically anything down line of the radio master switch. I was IFR being vectored by fwa departure, headed for grr. No longer able to communication with ATC, I was fortunately in excellent VMC conditions at the time. C62 airport was visible to me at the time, and I descended to a normal landing at same. At no time was the aircraft in any imminent danger, and the entire event was concluded safely with no damage to aircraft or passenger. I contacted ATC by phone on landing to explain what had happened, and they closed my flight plan.

I WAS IFR BEING VECTORED BY FWA DEP, HEADED FOR GRR. NO LONGER ABLE TO COM WITH ATC, I WAS FORTUNATELY IN EXCELLENT VMC CONDITIONS AT THE TIME. C62 ARPT WAS VISIBLE TO ME AT THE TIME, AND I DSNDED TO A NORMAL LNDG AT SAME. AT NO TIME WAS THE ACFT IN ANY IMMINENT DANGER, AND THE ENTIRE EVENT WAS CONCLUDED SAFELY WITH NO DAMAGE TO ACFT OR PAX. I CONTACTED ATC BY PHONE ON LNDG TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAD HAPPENED, AND THEY CLOSED MY FLT PLAN.
