Narrative:
While changing #6 brake on aircraft X, I installed the gear pins and removed them. However, failed to make a logbook entry that gear pins were installed. During layovers, we are not required to make a logbook entry. Unfortunately, I was performing a transit check, and the entry should have been made. Next time I will make the entry for the gear pins at the same time the entry for the brake is made.
