At XX49 Z the ASR-9 radar shut down. We received no primary or beacon targets. In approximately 10 seconds after that, the antenna stopped turning. The supervisors activated our back-up system (cenrap) center radar approach) at XX51Z. The radar returned to service at XX55 Z.

Narrative: AT XX49 Z THE ASR-9 RADAR SHUT DOWN. WE RECEIVED NO PRIMARY OR BEACON TARGETS. IN APPROX 10 SECONDS AFTER THAT, THE ANTENNA STOPPED TURNING. THE SUPVRS ACTIVATED OUR BACK-UP SYS (CENRAP) CTR RADAR APCH) AT XX51Z. THE RADAR RETURNED TO SVC AT XX55 Z.
