Narrative:
Started to taxi, clearance given to runway 23. After moving a few ft ATC advised to stop taxi and follow a dc-9 to runway 23. Normal taxi procedures used. Upon arrival in sdf we were informed that a cargo. Controller had been displaced, damaged unknown (if any). Need more ramp space to operate in a normal safe manner. Several semi trucks parked very near the aircraft. Left us no choice but to turn to the right to enter the taxiway.
