Narrative:
The FAA has allowed airlines to implement a new aircraft operating manual (aom). This aom on the jetstream fleet has been implemented without training the flcs. There are now entirely new emergency procedures, emergency memory items, and normal procedures. The flight deck is now total chaos! You do not know what procedure the pilot next to you will use in an emergency. Will he use the old or new procedures? The jetstream fleet is now nonstandard and an accident looking for a place to happen. I have flown with a couple of different capts and we have used the old procedures, the new procedure and about anything in between. We have even used the new checklist and briefed for takeoff that we will use the old emergency memory items that we have been trained on and used for 4 years. Pilots have called the FAA safety hotline, written letters to the company and the FAA. The general response is that due to economic considerations we will receive no training. I am sure if this were an md-80 the situation would be handled in a different manner. I would think that all of us in the industry would want to prevent an accident. Rather than study the aftermath of an accident and determine that it probably wouldn't have happened if the crew had been trained and standardized. I need to also add that many of the new procedures are unsafe rather than being safer ways of operating.

Title: FO COMPLAINT OF NO TRAINING ON NEWLY ESTABLISHED EMER CHKLIST AND ACFT OPERATING PROCS.
Narrative: THE FAA HAS ALLOWED AIRLINES TO IMPLEMENT A NEW ACFT OPERATING MANUAL (AOM). THIS AOM ON THE JETSTREAM FLEET HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED WITHOUT TRAINING THE FLCS. THERE ARE NOW ENTIRELY NEW EMER PROCS, EMER MEMORY ITEMS, AND NORMAL PROCS. THE FLT DECK IS NOW TOTAL CHAOS! YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT PROC THE PLT NEXT TO YOU WILL USE IN AN EMER. WILL HE USE THE OLD OR NEW PROCS? THE JETSTREAM FLEET IS NOW NONSTANDARD AND AN ACCIDENT LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO HAPPEN. I HAVE FLOWN WITH A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT CAPTS AND WE HAVE USED THE OLD PROCS, THE NEW PROC AND ABOUT ANYTHING IN BTWN. WE HAVE EVEN USED THE NEW CHKLIST AND BRIEFED FOR TKOF THAT WE WILL USE THE OLD EMER MEMORY ITEMS THAT WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED ON AND USED FOR 4 YEARS. PLTS HAVE CALLED THE FAA SAFETY HOTLINE, WRITTEN LETTERS TO THE COMPANY AND THE FAA. THE GENERAL RESPONSE IS THAT DUE TO ECONOMIC CONSIDERATIONS WE WILL RECEIVE NO TRAINING. I AM SURE IF THIS WERE AN MD-80 THE SIT WOULD BE HANDLED IN A DIFFERENT MANNER. I NEED TO ALSO ADD THAT MANY OF THE NEW PROCS ARE UNSAFE RATHER THAN BEING SAFER WAYS OF OPERATING.
